Go left if you want, but this train is on…

I remember when I was a kid how I’d crawl in bed on Sunday mornings and get my daddy to ready the “funny papers” to me. As I grew older, it became the thing I would read last — kind of like desert, clearing my mind from the more serious items of the day.

These days I’ve kind of reversed myself again — Chris Muir’s Day by Day is usually the first thing I hit on my daily read list.

With that in mind, I thought it might be a good idea to have an open trackback for the humorous things found on the ‘net. If you’ve got a humorous post, fun site, or other day-brightener, put it on your blog, link to this article, and trackback to me. Trackbacks will appear at the end of this post.

If it goes over well enough, I’ll make it a weekly happening. Nothing stronger than PG, OK?

To kick things off, try the video on for size. It may be a blind date, but there’s definitely chemistry…

Takei gay, Sulu straight, Trekkers confused

Although Takei is gay, the Star Trek character he played, Hikaru Sulu, is married and has a daughter, Demora, born in 2270. Trekkers, commonly called “Trekkies,” were confused by the news.

Weekend Open Trackbacks & [Your] Capt. of the Week

Readers should know the rules by now, but in case you do not, they are quite simple. With this photograph, you simply provide a “caption” in the comments section and I will scrape together the best at the end of the weekend to caption the photograph …
