I’d been meaning to search for a photo for my header for some time, and I finally got around to it today. I ended up downloading about a half-dozen pictures I thought might be suitable, and narrowed it down to the one you see above.

I didn’t want to use it without getting the photographer’s permission, so I e-mailed Anders Brownworth of Anders.com (visit him!) explaining what I’d use it for, and requesting his permission to use a cropped version on my blog. Not long after that, I received it! No questions, no strings, just simple permission.

He didn’t have to do it, but I wanted to thank him publicly for allowing me the use of the photo. Now I won’t feel nearly as pressured to drop $100+ bucks for a site redesign! Thanks, Anders!
